I have deep experience marketing to women and a track record of growing brand awareness and revenue for start-ups, B2C businesses, nonprofit organizations, and B2B and B2C service providers.
In late 2015, the inventor and CEO of The Stair Barrier retained me to build awareness for her newly launched, one-of-a-kind stair gate. I contributed to 450% YoY revenue growth by securing product reviews, media coverage, and brand and influencer collaborations. I received company equity in 2017 and served as VP of Brand Management until the founder merged with Keenz in 2019 and created The Better Options Company.
I transitioned into a new role, serving as the fractional Director of Communications for The Better Options Company for three and half years. Working as an internal team member and collaborating cross-functionally, I directed the marketing communications strategy to grow three e-commerce brands: Keenz, The Stair Barrier, and Lazy Dog Loungers. I developed all consumer messaging and content (website landing pages, product descriptions, corporate messaging, promotional emails, and social media), landed media placements, evaluated website conversion rates and social media metrics, secured brand partnerships, and directed ad agencies and social media coordinator.
Key Results:
In early 2014, the founders of Belabumbum, a social enterprise manufacturing maternity and nursing apparel through family-owned factories in the Americas, retained me to manage media and influencer relations. Over eight years, I worked directly with the founders and the CTO, and my role grew to encompass media and influencer relations, brand partnerships, editorial strategy, and content development. I created messaging and content for website landing pages, emails, and promotional campaigns for product launches and key selling periods, contributing significantly to the company's success.
